Paris, 22 April 2025 – Engineering company ABMI has announced that it is joining GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales), a strategic step in its development and commitment to the French aerospace industry.
ABMI has a nationwide presence and for over forty years has been supporting major aerospace manufacturers in their technical, digital and organisational transformation projects. Its membership of GIFAS is recognition of its expertise and its long-standing involvement in this strategic sector.
‘Joining GIFAS not only means extending our long-term commitment to the aerospace industry, but also becoming part of a collective drive to build the industry of the future,’ says François Laborde, Chairman of the ABMI Group
An expected contribution to the industry
By joining GIFAS, ABMI aims to make an active contribution to the ongoing debate on decarbonising air transport, digitalising industrial processes and optimising the energy performance of on-board systems.
“Our expertise is fully aligned with the current challenges facing the industry. We have the capacity to provide concrete, agile and responsible solutions, whether in product engineering, automation or industrial innovation”, emphasises the group’s management.
A shared vision of the future of aeronautics
ABMI’s decision to take part in GIFAS’s work is part of a process of co-construction with the other members of the group. As a cross-functional player operating across the entire value chain – from R&D through to industrialisation – ABMI is keen to make its voice heard as an engineering company that is close to the regions, responsive and focused on the ecological transition.
The company plans to join a number of GIFAS thematic committees over the coming months, focusing in particular on innovation, sustainable production and SME relations.
